Allocation
Reserve stock against confirmed orders and cover the shortfall with POs.
What does allocation do?
Allocation decides which physical stock covers which confirmed order — per size and per location — so you know exactly what’s promised, what’s sellable, and what still needs producing.

Reserving available stock, size by size…
How do I allocate stock to an order?
- 1Open the Allocation page — confirmed orders show their demand per size against what’s available.
- 2Type the quantities to reserve, or click Auto-allocate to distribute available stock (largest orders first).
- 3Whatever you reserve is ring-fenced — and mirrored as reserved in Shopify so your webshop can’t sell it.
What happens to what I can’t cover?
The shortfall shows as to cover. From there you raise purchase orders in a click — for all uncovered demand (one PO per supplier) or for a single order line. Receiving the PO later settles those allocations automatically.
Allocation, production and fulfilment are joined up: a received PO flows into stock, settles the allocation, and the order becomes ready to ship — no re-keying.
