Allocation

Reserve stock against confirmed orders and cover the shortfall with POs.

What does allocation do?

Allocation decides which physical stock covers which confirmed order — per size and per location — so you know exactly what’s promised, what’s sellable, and what still needs producing.

Reserving available stock, size by size…
Allocation reserves available stock against confirmed orders, per size. Whatever's left to cover becomes a purchase order in a click.
How do I allocate stock to an order?
  1. 1Open the Allocation page — confirmed orders show their demand per size against what’s available.
  2. 2Type the quantities to reserve, or click Auto-allocate to distribute available stock (largest orders first).
  3. 3Whatever you reserve is ring-fenced — and mirrored as reserved in Shopify so your webshop can’t sell it.
What happens to what I can’t cover?

The shortfall shows as to cover. From there you raise purchase orders in a click — for all uncovered demand (one PO per supplier) or for a single order line. Receiving the PO later settles those allocations automatically.

Allocation, production and fulfilment are joined up: a received PO flows into stock, settles the allocation, and the order becomes ready to ship — no re-keying.
